— Art on Oak (210 Oak St. Hood River, OR) is the most wonderful gallery to be a part of. Not only are there thirty local artists, my work is in the front windows, the entrance, and the Annex, a constantly changing exhibit as they sell my paintings.

— The 2024 Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour in April was a huge success for me. Here’s what my home gallery looked like for the tour.

— Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR) continues to feature my paintings. “The Golden Hour” (48” X 48”— oil on stretched canvas) is currently in the window, several smaller paintings have their own cabinet, others are right when you walk into the gallery, and “White Blooms” (also 48” X 48”) is in The Annex.
— Carson Art Garage (962 Wind River Highway, Carson, WA) is a converted garage space now hosting the work of thirty artists from the Columbia River Gorge. I was invited to exhibit “Autumn Colors” — and I love how it looks against the industrial wall.
— As paintings sell and my interests change, so does my exhibit at Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR.) “Gorge Sunset” — 48” X 48” (oil on stretched canvas) was in the front window, new small paintings on the shelves, and several flower paintings added. “Gorge Sunset” SOLD as well as four of the small landscapes!
— Art for the Underdog was a very cool exhibit in August & September 2023 to support The Borgen Project — an organization dedicated to influencing policy to alleviate hunger. I was asked to exhibit “Hurry” and “Wait” at Mel’s Frame Shop (1007 SW Morrison, Portland, OR.)
— Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR) exhibited “Cumulus Rising Over Mt. Adams” in the window of the gallery. My teacup paintings and geometric landscapes were at the front of the space as well. “Cumulus Rising” SOLD.
— The Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour was held on April 21, 22, and 23, 2023 from 10:00 - 5:00 p.m. each day. I was one of forty regional artists selected to participate, and over a hundred and fifty art lovers came to my studio. Here are a few images of how my place looked.
— Women Artists of the West, of which I am an Associate Member, hosted an on-line exhibit called Hope Springs through May 31, 2023. This painting, “Wildflower Bouquet” (30” X 30” — oil on stretched canvas) is features on p. 49 of the catalogue which can be viewed at https://user-erryoby.cld.bz/2023-Online-Show-Hope-Springs.
— Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR) featured my painting, “Orchard Snow” (60” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) in front window. A dozen of my paintings were hanging in the main gallery, and “Where the Land Folds Like Fabric” (also 60” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) was the focal point of The Annex. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily.

— Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR) created a gorgeous holiday display with my painting, “High Country” (60” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas), featured in the window. There was a First Friday celebration coordinated with the Hood River holiday parade and annual tree lighting on Dec. 2nd, 2022.
— Art on Oak (210 Oak Street, Hood River, OR) revamped my exhibit: “Where the Land Folds Like Fabric” (60” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) was in the front window, “Ranunculus” (48” 48” — oil on stretched canvas) in the annex, and a number of other paintings graced the main gallery space. Hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily.
— Art on Oak (210 Oak Street, Hood River, OR) exhibited a new pieces of mine: “Dusk on the Columbia” (48” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) in the window, “Stormglow” (18” X 36” — oil on stretched canvas) also featured, and “Where the Land Folds Like Fabric” (60” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) in the annex.
— Cathedral Ridge Winery (4200 Post Canyon Rd., Hood River, OR) exhibited my work for the months of July and August, 2022. There was a wonderful opening reception on July 7th.
— The The Dalles Art Center (220 4th St., The Dalles, OR) exhibited five of my small flower paintings in their retail area. The summer tourist season was just beginning and a lot of people visited the gallery.
— The 2022 Gorge Artists Open Studio Tour, which was held on April 22nd, 23re, and 24th was a huge success for me. Not only was my painting, “Summer in the Gorge,” chosen to be on the cover of the souvenir guidebook, I sold TWENTY-NINE paintings, of few of which are shown below.
— The Dalles Art Center (220 4th St., The Dalles, OR) hosted an exhibit of works by all of the 2022 Gorge Artists Open Studios Tour participants. My piece, “Liminal Sky” — 19.5” X 47” (oil on canvas panel) was on display, along with many other beautiful works, from the opening on April 9, 2022 through the first week of May.
— Two new big paintings headed down to Art on Oak (201 Oak St., Hood River, OR). “Where the Land Folds Like Fabric (60” X 48”) was in the window, and “Fallow Fields” (48” X 60”) in the Annex. I was excited at how they look in their new spaces.
— I added frames to a number of paintings in my ongoing presence at Art on Oak (201 Oak St., Hood River, OR). I love how they now pop! And the painting in the window, “Summer in the Gorge” which is 48” X 48", immediately SOLD.
— The Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) exhibited these four flower paintings in their retail area through the end of March. I loved how they arranged them on the wall.
— The Dalles Art Center (220 4th St., The Dalles, OR) exhibited these two small plein air pieces in their holiday show for the month of December: “The Garden in June” and “The Garden in August’ are 6” X 6” — oil on archival panel. They were both in the retail area — and one SOLD!
— My exhibit at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital (810 12th St, Hood River, OR 97031) was extended through March 2022. Fifteen flower paintings brightened up the hallway to the patients’ rooms since November 2021.

— The Columbia Center for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) had five small paintings of mine on display for their Holiday Show. There was a First Friday opening party on Friday, Dec. 3rd and the exhibit ran through December. And two paintings SOLD!
— Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital (810 12th St, Hood River, OR 97031) has a lovely gallery space in a corridor leading to the the patients’ rooms. I exhibited a new set of flower paintings for three months — November. 2021 through January 2022.
— Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty opened a new office in Hood River, OR. I exhibited seventeen paintings in their elegant location at 118 3rd St, Hood River, OR 97031. There was a "First Friday” celebration on Oct. 1st, 2021, a fabulous holiday celebration on Dec. 10th, and the show remained up through early January. Four small paintings SOLD!
—This new painting was exhibited at Art On Oak (201 Oak St., Hood River, OR). “Autumn in the Gorge” was in the window of the gallery a very short time before it SOLD!
— On September 17, 18, & 19, 2021, I participated in the Gorge Artists’ Open Studio tour. This was the first year that I was on the tour, which included forty-five leading artists of the Columbia Gorge area. It was an exciting three days and twenty-seven of my paintings sold! — “Spring Snow,” which won First Place at the Best of the Gorge exhibit at the Columbia Center for the Arts, was exhibited at The Dalles Art Center (220 E 4th St #2206, The Dalles, OR 97058) as part of the Gorge Artists’ Open Studio Tour. The opening event was Sept. 2, 2021 and the show continued through September 2021.
— The Best of the Gorge” opened on August 6, 2021, at the Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave, Hood River, OR. It was on display through August 2021. This juried show featured the premier artists of the region, and included my piece, “Spring Snow.” The great news is that I won FIRST PLACE!
— July 2, 2021 marked the opening of “Mother River: The Columbia and Her Tributaries” at the Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR. Three of my abstract landscapes were featured in this juried exhibit, which will ran through July. “Our New Day Dawns” SOLD at the reception, and “Secret Cove” SOLD later.
— A solo exhibit of twenty-six floral paintings was installed at Cathedral Ridge Winery (4200 Post Canyon Road, Hood River OR.) It was on display June and July 2021. Restrictions still applied, so reservations were suggested for tasting their delicious wines. And two pieces SOLD!
— “Ranunculus” was exhibited in the window of Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River) for three months. Six paintings are now in the homes of new collectors from this gallery.
— Since my big painting “It's Raining Out East” sold, I brought in another piece to hang in the window of Art on Oak in Hood River. “Our Valley” graced Oak Street until it SOLD! Four paintings have also already SOLD!
— I was delighted to announce that Art on Oak (210 Oak St., Hood River, OR 97031), a premier gallery in the burgeoning Hood River art scene, invited me to be a new member of their artists’ roster! They immediately exhibited twelve of my paintings.
— Cathedral Ridge Winery exhibited twelve of my paintings in their socially distanced tasting room through February and March 2021. Three paintings SOLD!
— I was thrllled that Women Artists of the West accepted these three of my abstract paintings for an online exhibit called “Abstract Thinking.” The show was up from Feb. 1 - April 1, 2021.
— The Winslow Art Center, Bainbridge Island, WA (www.winslowartcenter.com) accepted my painting, “Purple Tulips,” into its nationally juried spring on-line exhibit. I was delighted! The show was exhibited from Feb. 4 - March 31, 2021.
— The Museum of Western Art in Kerrville, TX (www.museumofwesternart.com) hosted the Women Artists of the West 51st National Exhibition: America the Beautiful. My piece, “A Good Day’s Work,” was chosen to be in this exhibit, which opened on Feb. 5, 2021 and ran through March 19, 2021.
— Seven small pieces were exhibited in the Columbia Center for the Arts retail section starting January 28, 2021. All of them have now SOLD!

— The Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR, invited me to exhibit fourteen of my floral pieces in The Holiday Show. The exhibit opened on Dec. 4, 2020 and ran through Dec. 24th. The gallery was open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and adhered to strict protections: masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing were all required for entry into the space and there was no opening reception. Here are a few of the paintings… and FOUR SOLD!
— Las Laguna Gallery (www.laslagunagallery.com) accepted my portrait of Elijah McClain into the juried exhibit called “Portraits.” The gallery, which is located in Laguna Beach, CA presented all of the pieces in this show on-line due to CoViD restrictions from Nov. 5, 2020 through Dec. 5, 2020.
— As an associate member of Women Artists of the West, I was given the opportunity to participate in an online exhibit called “Portraits from Protest and Pandemic.” In addition to the painting below, these two portraits, “Unfinished Life: Elijah McClain” and “Unfinished Life: George Floyd” were shown on-line September and October, 2020. Proceeds to go to Black Lives Matter and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
— I was invited to show this painting, “Unfinished Life: Breonna Taylor,” at the juried show called “The Best of The Gorge” at the Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR. The exhibit opened on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, with a limited socially distanced reception and was up through September 2020. The gallery agreed that proceeds would be donated to Black Lives Matter and to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
— I was delighted to announce that these three paintings were invited to show at Verum Ultimum Gallery, 3014 NE Ainsworth Bvld., Portland, OR in the juried exhibit called “The 7th Annual Living Mark.” They continued to be on exhibit through Fall 2020 and now are in the on-line holiday show. Gallery hours are Monday & Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and by appointment. “Purple Vase” has SOLD!
— The Columbia Center for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) accepted “Lighting Up the Bass” for the February exhibit called Rhythm. The show opened Feb. 7, 2020 with a reception from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and continued through the month. And my painting SOLD!
— The Moses Lake Museum & Art Center (401 Balsam St., Moses Lake, WA) invited me to exhibit these five pieces in their juried show called “Uncorked.” It was all about wine and vineyards. The exhibit opened on January 17, 2020 with a reception and ran though the end of February. And a painting SOLD!

— The Holiday Show at the Columbia Center for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) has always been a festive occasion. Last year, the show opened on Black Friday, November 29, 2019, and the official reception was on First Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The show was in the gallery through Dec. 28th. These three of my plein air pieces were on exhibit.
— Cathedral Ridge Winery (4200 Post Canyon Dr, Hood River, OR 97031) hosted an exhibit of works made en plein air in their vineyards by an invited group of artists. The opening reception was Thursday, November 14, 2019, from 4 - 6 p.m. and the show ran through December. I had nine paintings on exhibit and “In The Tyrol” SOLD!
— The Columbia Center for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) opened an exhibit called “Digital Art” on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 with a reception from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. These three pieces of mine, called Irony 1, 2, & 3, were on display. They were made on my iPad to note the irony of making digital art depicting the very basis of oil painting. The show ran through November.
— I was thrilled to announce that three of my paintings were accepted into the juried show, “The Best of the Gorge” at the Columbia Canter for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR). The exhibit, which featured the finest work of artists living in the Columbia Gorge, opened on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 with a reception from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. It remained in the gallery through October.
— Columbia Center for the Arts (215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR) exhibited six of my small black & white flower paintings in a show called, not surprisingly, “Black & White.” The opening reception was Friday, Sept. 6th and the show was up through the month of September 2019.
— My painting, “Apples” (16” X 16” — oil on stretched canvas) was exhibited in the juried show, “The 6th Annual Living Mark”, at Verum Ultimum Gallery, 3014 NE Ainsworth Bvld., Portland, OR. There was an opening reception on Saturday, July 29th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.. The exhibit continued through August 2019.
— I completed a small sketchbook for the sketchbook project at the Columbia Center for the Arts, 215 Cascade Ave, Hood River, OR. Here are six drawings from that book, now on permanent display at the gallery, which chronicle our shift from winter into spring.
— “Big & Small” was a great show at the Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR. I was invited to exhibit two pieces: “Columbia River Berbera” (48” X 48” — oil on stretched canvas) and “Berbera Mini” (3” X 3” — oil on panel.) The show opened on Friday, July 5th with a reception from 6 - 8 p.m. and continued through the month of July 2019. Both of my pieces SOLD!
— Six abstract paintings, the “Reflections” & “Spring Garden” series, were on display at the Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR in a show called “Off the Wall”. This exhibit was for artists to stretch beyond their usual work into new territory. it opened May 3, 2019 with a reception from 6 - 8 p.m. and continued through the month.
— Three of my pieces, “Escape”, “Hurry” and “Wait”, were on view at the Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR. The exhibit, which was called “Migration”, opened on April 5th with a reception from 6 - 8 p.m. and ran through April 28th. I’m happy to report that “Hurry” SOLD before the show even opened!
— Verum Ultimum Gallery, NE Ainsworth, Portland, OR, accpeted my painting “Reflections I” into its 6th Abstract Sanctuary juried show. The opening reception was March 2, 2019, and the exhibit ran through March 2019. And this painting SOLD!
— Good News Garden Cafe, 1086 Tucker Road, Hood River, OR featured my art for January 2019. And the large painting, “Poppies”, SOLD!

— Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital, Hood River, OR -- I was the featured artist for October/November/December 2018 in the lovely gallery space in the hospital.
— Verum Ultimum Gallery, NE Ainsworth, Portland, OR, featured my large painting, “Overlook”, in its 5th Abstract Catalyst show. The opening reception was August 25, 2018, and the exhibit ran through September. And “Overlook” SOLD!
-- Cathedral Ridge Winery, 4200 Post Canyon Drive, Hood River, OR, hosted another set of my paintings in their end of summer Plein Air Show. The show was installed July 17, 2018, with an opening wine tasting reception on August 10, 2018. They also showcased my big painting, called "Cathedral Ridge", in their members' tasting room.
-- Verum Ultimum Gallery, 3014 NE Ainsworth, Portland, OR, invited "Sunflowers" to be a part of their Living Mark 5 juried show. The opening reception was June 30, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. and the exhibit was up through August 11, 2018. Happy to announce that this painting SOLD!
— I was the featured artist at Cathedral Ridge Winery, 4200 Post Canyon Drive, Hood River, OR, for the spring. I exhibited thirty works from March through mid-July 2018. People enjoyed the art, the award winning wine, and the spectacular views and it was a hugely successful show -- over half of my paintings SOLD!
-- "Under 100" -- an exhibit of small works at Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR for the month of June 2018. Delighted that several of these B & W studies SOLD!
— "Internal Dialogue: Abstract Art" - on exhibit at Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR for the month of April 2018: Winter Storm I.
— "Recycled Art", with an opening reception on Feb. 2, 2018, was an exhibit at the Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR, where artists were invited to create work using recycled materials. These pieces, shown through February 2018, were an interesting departure for me: packing materials, old newsprint, and used screens were my media.
-- "Community Conversations" at the Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR, a show for local artists working together to spark conversation during the month of January, featured three of my large paintings. Opening reception was Jan. 5, 2018 and the exhibit ran through the month of January. And "Sunflowers" SOLD and now has a new home!

-- Columbia Center for the Arts Gallery, 215 Cascade Ave., Hood River, OR -- "1000 Words" was a show linking artists with their favorite piece of literature for the month of October, 2017. I chose Annie Proulx's Barkskins as my inspiration for several pieces about the destruction of the forests of North America.
-- White Salmon Vineyards Tasting Room hosted a solo show of my work from August 31 - September 30, 2017. What a beautiful site on the Columbia River with great wine and a great view. (63281 Highway 14 at the White Salmon Bridge in Washington) And “Red Tulips” SOLD before I returned home from installing the show!
-- "Garden Riot", opened Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at the Windermere Realty Gallery, 315 Oak Street, Hood River, OR. The show ran through the end of August. Large paintings from the Portland International Airport show were on display as well as a variety of small works. And two paintings SOLD!
